Founded by Grandmaster Tong Suk Chun, The World Cultural &Sports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that fosters global unity, understanding and harmony through the transformative power of culture and sports. The mission is to creat a vibrant and inclusive world where diverse communities come together, celebrate their unique identities, and build bridges of mutual respect.

About Grandmaster Tong Suk Chun

Grandmaster Tong Suk Chun, President of the World Cultural & Sports Foundation (WCSF), has been championing the cause of equality for the past four decades. Since coming to the United States in the mid-70s, Master Chun has been passionately involved in community service. As a Grand Master, he has donated his time in providing Tae Kwon Do training to inner-city youth of the Los Angeles area, and has touched the lives of over 20,000 students in the United States.

Grandmaster Chun works to bring cultural expression , cooperation and friendship by undertaking various cultural exchange programs including ‘cultural exchange< rips” to and from Korea, China, Haiti, Afghanistan, and Japan. African Americans and other ethnic groups are provided an opportunity to experience the people, the land, and the culture of Asia, thus expanding the mutual understanding among the various ethnic groups.

The Crenshaw Elite Choir of Crenshaw High School has made its Cultural Friendship Exchange Tour to Korea on seven occasions and twice to Japan since the year 2000. WCSF also has supported the annual “Feed the Homeless” event sponsored by the Office od Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke, Shell Oil Company, and many other organizations for several years since year 2001. Since March 2010, right after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Grandmaster Chun has been working in Haiti building schools to give the children and youth an opportunity to envision a brighter future for their country.

He has invited and brought many students, choirs, pastors, and leaders from various fields from Haiti to the U.S. and Korea on cultural exchange tours.  In April 2011, Grand Master Chun also served as a Commissioner of the Los Angels County Human Relations Commission, the largest organization of its kind in the United Staes, from 2004 to 2012.

In April 2011, Grandmaster Chun received the Hall of Fame Peace Award by the U.S. Taekwondo Grandmasters Society.
